Marissa has had a lifelong passion for healthy eating and cooking, along with a desire to help those around her. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition at University of California, Davis, in Northern California's vibrant Sacramento Valley. She completed the supervised practice portion of her training at the renowned Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, after being selected for a position into the hospital's competitive Dietetic Internship program. Following her return to California, Marissa obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at California State University, Northridge. She has served a diverse patient population in her appointments as a Clinical Dietitian at several major hospitals in the Los Angeles area. Marissa is dedicated to ongoing professional education in order to stay up to speed on the latest scientific evidence in the field. She holds specialty certificates of training in Vegetarian Nutrition, Adult Weight Management and Monash University's Low FODMAP program (for dietary management of IBS). Marissa is thrilled to be able to apply her passion and expertise in food and nutrition while supporting you in reaching your goals to attain optimal health.
